CAD Draughtsperson
Location: Fareham
Our client is an international leader in the development and supply of high performance, innovative materials and solutions for applications in filtration and separation.
Main function:
Production of detail drawings and design packages for manufacture, incorporation of engineering changes.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with project engineers to produce "Right First Time" design packages from proposals and specifications, including:
* Detail manufacturing and installation drawings to BS8888 Drawing Standards
* Specification data sheets
* Factory Acceptance Procedures
* Installation and Operation Manuals
* Review and incorporation of engineering change orders
* Produce proposal drawings in conjunction with sales and applications engineers
* Incorporation of engineering change requests
* Basic design analysis e.g. Tolerance/interference check, simple mechanical calculations e.g. Hoop stress.
* Liase with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and planning to ensure "Design for Manufacture" and "Value Engineering" principles are applied.
* Play a key role in developing our CAD system; standardising and automating design processes and maintaining the document management system.

Qualifications:
* HNC Mechanical Engineering/Computer Aided Engineering/Design, 3 years minimum industrial experience in a mechanical/aerospace/fabrication environment.
* Knowledge of CNC machined components, close tolerance parts and pressure bearing components/systems/vessel fabrication would be advantageous.
* A keen interest in computer aided design and manufacture, industry trends, and latest technology to optimise the process.
