You will be expected to work within multiple schools within the borough Start Date: Immediately About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support and general TA duties to our schools within Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with young children and making a positive impact on their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, and have a nurturing and patient approach. Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to children with SEN, assisting with their learning, social development, and emotional well-being. Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lesson plans and activities. Encourage the children’s confidence and independence within the classroom environment. Help with academic tasks, including literacy, numeracy, and other subjects. Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to the class teacher. Foster positive relationships with the children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Assist with classroom management and support other students as needed. Requirements: Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting. A passion for helping young children achieve their full potential. Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting children with diverse needs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals. A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
