We're looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of a portfolio within VIVO Defence, where you will have a pivotal role in influencing our financial strategy and decision-making.
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of management accounts and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to provide insights into profitability, financial performance, and strategic delivery. Your expertise will contribute to high-level decisions through the analysis of key financial data and the identification of opportunities to maximise commercial success while minimising financial risks.
In this role, you will actively engage with key stakeholders across various departments, from the commercial and billable works teams to senior business leaders. Your ability to communicate complex financial insights and support strategic initiatives will be crucial in driving performance and operational efficiency.
The responsibilities in this role include:

6. Collaborating with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
7. Playing an active role in business projects, bids, and change programmes, driving continuous process improvements and automation.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will spend 2-3 days per week working in our Birmingham office. You may at times need to travel to Preston but this will be approx 1 time per month. Applicants must have their own transport and be willing to travel. Expenses will be paid to and from Preston.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, along with advanced Excel skills to present complex data, is essential. Familiarity with SAP systems is beneficial but not required.
