Full Time Animal Care Assistant/Receptionist required!
Here at Kingfisher Veterinary Practice, we are looking for an Animal Care Assistant/Receptionist to join our fantastic team. You will be working both on Reception and also helping out the nursing staff during busy periods. The majority of this role will be covering our reception desks dealing with clients on the phone and face to face, assisting our clients with making appointments, signing up clients to our Pet Health Club, dispensing medications, answering queries on the phone, uploading medical documents to patients' notes as well as taking payments.
As an Animal Care Assistant, you may also be required to assist the nursing team, handling and restraining patients, providing a clean environment, running laboratory tests, and cleaning and sterilising instruments.
The position will be mainly based between Martock and Crewkerne, though you may be required to work at our Chard and Taunton practices during periods of annual leave.
Our ideal candidate
A qualification as a VCA/ANA/SQP is desirable; however, we will also consider those with any Veterinary/Medical or reception experience. You will be required to have a good understanding of handling cash and cashing up at the end of the day. You will be computer literate and have a happy, positive personality with a good work ethic who is able to work alone as well as part of a team.
About the rota
The rota includes working 4 days per week from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
