Job Description Are you an experienced and motivated Veterinary Nurse looking for a leadership role? We have an exciting opportunity for a confident and compassionate Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our nursing team in a thriving practice in St Albans. About Us: Our practice is purpose-built with state-of-the-art facilities, including a full operating theatre, in-house Idexx lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and much more. We’re a first-opinion clinic with a loyal client base and a strong focus on orthopaedic surgeries, offering you a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills in a modern, progressive setting. We're onveniently located, our practice has excellent travel links to the town centre and major motorways. Our team is led by our talennted Vet Surgeon, who qualified from the RVC in 2009. With a passion for rescue work and orthopaedics, They're supported by a team of vets, RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, receptionists, and a practice manager. We’re a friendly and growing practice, and we’re looking for someone who can help us continue to thrive. About You: We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with leadership experience, ready to step into a senior role. Strong organisational skills and a passion for patient care are key, along with the ability to lead a team and provide support in surgery, diagnostics, and client communication. Experience in clinical coaching is a plus, as is a keen interest in orthopaedics. You’ll assist in managing the day-to-day running of the practice, including rostering and stock management, and help develop the skills of your team. With our supportive and social environment, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in schedule three procedures and enjoy team events outside of work.
