Minimum Requirements
* Degree / HND in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction, or other related disciplines – or equivalent experience.
* Established bid writing experience, including demonstrable experience tendering and writing for complex construction, engineering, civils infrastructure bids.
* Proven ability to absorb, analyse and structure complex information, articulate win strategies/client drivers.
* Excellent written English, with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Office 365 proficiency, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe.
* Previous experience of writing bids within the energy, utilities, water, transport, and tunnelling sectors (highly desirable).
* Experience bidding with external joint venture partners.
* Experience in bidding for frameworks.

The pre-construction team will continue to grow significantly to achieve our goals in self-delivery of people and plant, technical excellence, offsite-manufacturing, and private finance. We are seeking an experienced Senior Writing Lead to join our Pre-Construction Team. You will be responsible for developing technical written bid content across the civils infrastructure sector. Ideally, you can demonstrate your knowledge of construction and engineering processes, a passion for storytelling, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to produce high-quality content that engages our target audience.
You will work within the Infrastructure Pre-Construction Team and with Subject Matter Experts and delivery partners to develop and write strategic PQQ and Tender responses. You will be involved in:
* Developing evidence-based and technical responses.
* Facilitating and leading answer planning and review sessions.
* Interviewing technical, operational, and business function experts.
* Ensuring completion of all responses to internal/external deadlines.
* Supporting junior writers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to meet quality standards.
* Supporting win strategy/win theme workshops.
* Supporting the development of smarter writing development/review processes.
