We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT CE) to join the team. Hours: CHOOSE YOUR OWN SHIFT TIMES FROM 1300 UNTIL MIDNIGHT Pay Rates: (AFTERS): Monday to Thursday £16.87, Friday £17.60, Saturday £18.29 & Sunday £18.61 PAYE (NIGHTS) : Monday to Thursday £17.59, Friday £18.10, Saturday £20.69 & Sunday £21.96 PAYE Location: Barnsley, S74. Job Type : Long-term, ongoing. The role: Trunking to one depot, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels. Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road. Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Requirements: At least 3 months' HGV driving experience. Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category CE). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Successful completion of practical / theory assessment. Full understanding of WTD legislation. Benefits: Work all year round.
