A large Engineering company in Lichfield are recruiting a Hybrid Payroll Officer on a temporary 12-month contract basis. This is a Hybrid role. You will be running multiple monthly UK payrolls for over 1,000 employees in accordance with applicable company policy and legislative requirements. The role requires building strong, credible, and lasting relationships with colleagues and service providers and ensuring employees have a thorough understanding of their salaries. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside HR business Partners, technical specialists and will have the opportunity to develop and enhance our payroll systems.
REQUIREMENTS
You will have a track record of payroll systems management with proven competency in end-to-end payroll process. Be AAT or equivalent qualified, not essential but advantageous. Have the ability to soundly troubleshoot and have detailed knowledge of ADP iHCM2 systems and cloud report writing. Excellent judgement skills with attention to accuracy and detail and detailed knowledge of payroll legislation. You will be flexible and creative in your approach and be self-motivated, able to work independently but also a team player with the ability to motivate others. You will have excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to achieve deadlines.

Offering a salary of up to £34,000 per annum, Hours are 37.5 per week, on a flexible basis with 2/3 days working from home, other attractive benefits such as company pension, 7%. Onsite parking and 25 days holiday.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the payroll Manager you will be working in a team of 4 staff. You will be responsible for Monthly analysis of site KPI data, monitoring system performance, interface of data including exception and error reporting, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Recognise system training needs around the sites and deliver training solutions to new and existing employees, HR business partners, and finance colleagues. You will manage user security access across payroll systems for both employees and users, produce monthly system audit reports, and promote good practice on data management. You will have the ability to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation such as NMW, Maternity, Paternity & Adoption, and Salary Sacrifice schemes. Liaise with external payroll providers on system technical issues to ensure timely resolution and feedback and production of site monthly payroll reporting pack to management in accordance with set KPI’s, identifying trends, actions, and recommendations for improvement based on monthly data. You will also assist with the development and introduction of business reporting to include writing bespoke reports and monitoring, optimizing, and improving performance of reports when necessary. Analysis, reconciliation, and submission of monthly pension and share save data to a third-party provider.
