Teaching Assistant - Primary Support Location: Plymouth We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide support for a SEN primary school in Plymouth. This is a full-time position, requiring a compassionate, adaptable individual who is skilled at supporting students with additional needs. The role involves working closely with a children who require extra support in the classroom, as they can become dysregulated and need support to stay focused and complete tasks. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, identify early signs of disengagement, and implement creative strategies to maintain and encourage the childs learning and development. Key responsibilities include: Building a positive and supportive relationship with students while maintaining clear boundaries. Using effective behaviour management techniques to address and de-escalate challenging situations. Supporting children in completing classroom tasks and fostering their engagement in learning activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to adapt strategies to meet the individual needs of the student. Prior experience working with children with behavioural or learning needs is highly desirable.
