We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee complex cabling and IT infrastructure projects in the North West. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation projects within built environments & construction, with a focus on network cabling and IT system integrations.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions while fostering strong relationships with clients and team members.
Responsibilities
* Manage multiple install projects, within a construction environment, ensuring timely completion within budget.
* Coordinate with principal contractors and in-house installation teams to execute project plans effectively.
* Oversee and manage up to 20 indirect reports through 2-3 different subcontractors on site.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
* Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
* Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines efficiently.
Experience Required
* Proven experience in construction or building site installations, with a focus on cabling and network infrastructure.
* Extensive knowledge of network cabling and IT system integrations.
* Familiarity with comms rooms, control rooms, and access control systems.
* Strong understanding of IT environments, build processes, and data cabling.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Decisive decision-making abilities and a completion-oriented mindset.
* Commercial acumen and budget management skills.
* Ability to work independently on customer sites in Derby and the East Midlands.
