Purchasing Assistant A leading food manufacturer requires an Purchasing Assistant for their manufacturing and R&D site in Banbury. The organisation has a global presence and a network of R&D, manufacturing and service facilities in more than 60 counties, to serve their customers' needs. Job Summary: A highly motivated individual is required to direct and coordinate the purchase of a range of materials for the company, whilst ensuring that they are working in accordance with specifications, budgets and agreed quality standards. General Responsibilities Analyse the daily stock requirement report spreadsheet, placing the necessary purchase orders using Suppliers/Pricing Structures set up by the Buyers whilst maintaining safety stocks. Monitor purchase orders to ensure that materials are confirmed, delivered on time, at the agreed price, within agreed specification and comply with the company's quality Maintain regular contact with suppliers to resolve any problems to meet production Maintain regular contact with Factory Management, Planning and Customer Service departments to work towards minimising any issues that could impact on customer Maintain and update raw material 'Goods In' schedule for the Warehouse Department, keeping within daily and weekly delivery quotas and ensure regular communication to minimise any adverse factors that may lead to missed production schedules and transport deadlines.
