In this role you’ll have the opportunity to lead cross-functional/regional teams, orchestrating people initiatives. As a Programme Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our ambitious people plans, helping the P&O (People & Organisation) function to manage the organisations portfolio of work to deliver our business strategy.
You’ll be responsible for project managing the people elements of Specsavers 2030 long-term framework, within this ambition, P&O have two significant Priorities, Future Ready People and Smarter working. This will involve overseeing multiple projects on a large-scale multi-regional or cross functional activity.
You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering the project life cycle; project ideation, through to proof of concept and pilots through to embedding and review. You’ll develop plans and partnering with project sponsors to pull together and manage the relevant teams required for delivery to meet timescales and delivery benefits. You’ll be responsible for producing monthly update reports as well as the annual plan summary of activity to help with prioritisation decisions and ensure the P&O leadership team are up to date on all projects. As this role requires a hands-on approach, past experience in programme or large-scale project management is essential to the role. This role requires a good eye for detail while still considering the broader implications of your decisions. Experience in HR Functions is beneficial but not essential.
In this role you’ll directly impact multiple projects across the function, working with a variety of stakeholders such as P&O Leadership, HR Business Partners as well as others, You’ll be a confident communicator, bringing strong stakeholder management experience with influencing and negotiation skills.
