Application Support Engineer / Analyst - About the role: The Application Engineer / Support Analyst / Consultant role will be a remote role working from home but will involve perhaps quarterly team meetings in the Northwest and possibility of a trip for training at HQ in Europe for a few days. The role involves supporting customers using the company’s software, building a strong technical awareness of the full technical skillset. Working closely with 3 other technical team members, sharing knowledge, and collectively resolving customer queries and documenting the process. The role will involve working with technologies such as SQL, SQL Server, Web Services ( SOAP, XML, Rest), basic scripting and creating some SQL statements to query databases. The role will give you exposure to software upgrades and implementations, product testing, support, within their environment and offers the chance to develop further. Application Support Analyst / Engineer - Key Responsibilities: Support of various business applications, and upgrades /new installation of software Testing application, product releases, provide quality assurance and resolving any queries prior to installation. Aid in the resolution of configuration and deployment issues Support the documentation of the process of the software products to help with further project implementation. Creating databases, basic scripting, writing SQL statements, Support and resolution of customer queries Any other related duties as required by the business, including analysis, and following best practice. Some additional evening support for customers up until 7.30pm will be required at some stage on a rota basis a few days per week Application Support Analyst / Engineer - Essential Technical Skills: Candidates must have some exposure to most of the technologies listed below: Previous experience supporting software or business applications is essential. Business Systems Applications / Software solutions experience Some understanding of Web Services is preferred. SQL and basic scripting, MS Office Suite, SQL Server. Creating / querying databases, creating SQL statements Any exposure to working with JIRA, Dynamics CRM Interest in working in a dynamic and fast paced environment Strong communication skills Must be able to travel within UK for ad-hoc company events Application Support Analyst / Engineer - Benefits (Negotiable) Basic salary of up to £40k on offer Bonus Scheme.
