ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an internal IT Help Desk Assistant to help support our team to resolve problems concerning computer systems, hardware, and software. Working within our Systems team, the Assistant will provide essential support both in-person and remotely to our growing team, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. PLEASE NOTE: You must be based locally to Stirling for this role and easily able to commute to the studio as required by the Systems team. In this role, you will: Provide quick and effective assistance with information technology systems Guide team members remotely and in person through systems configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance Work within the Systems team to troubleshoot recurring issues and devise effective solutions Develop an effective personal quality control process Show effective communication skills Autonomously manage your workload and meet deadlines Support overall IT infrastructure onsite, including moving hardware between the main studio and server rooms Undertake any other relevant task as directed by the Systems team to support IT operations If you are an excellent problem-solver with outstanding communication and customer service skills, we’d love to hear from you. What are we looking for? Strong interest in a variety of IT systems Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software Ability to diagnose and follow directions to resolve a variety of technical issues The ability to break down technological processes and deliver clear, step-by-step instructions Experience working as an IT help desk technician or in a similar customer support role would be desirable, though not essential Patient, friendly demeanour with a great aptitude for listening Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems Additional Information The selected candidate will receive our standard onboarding experience as well as direct training and mentoring from our Systems team. LOCATION: The position will primarily be based at our studio in central Stirling (CodeBase, 8-10 Corn Exchange Road, Stirling FK8 2HX) with some remote working from home. HOURS : 35 hours per week. Our standard studio hours are 7 working hours a day (usually 10am to 6pm), Monday to Friday. Occasional out-of-hours working (evening and weekend) will be required for which time off in-lieu will be offered. STUDIO CLOSURES : Wild Child Animation is closed for two weeks in August, 8-10 days over the Festive period and 1-2 days at Easter. These dates are compulsory holidays taken out of overall holiday allowances.
