About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a dynamic player in the consumer electronics industry, we are seeking a National Account Manager to drive strategic partnerships with key UK retailers. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional with a proven track record in managing high-profile accounts such as Currys, John Lewis, or Argos. Key Responsibilities:
* Account Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts (Currys, John Lewis, Argos, or similar), managing end-to-end relationships from negotiation to execution.
* Revenue Growth: Develop and deliver annual joint business plans (JBPs) to exceed sales targets, optimize product visibility, and drive sell-through performance.
* Strategic Negotiation: Lead contract discussions, including terms, pricing, promotions, and range reviews, while balancing profitability and partner expectations.
* Market Insights: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for category expansion and product innovation.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and launches.
* Problem Solving: Proactively address challenges such as stock availability, logistics, or compliance issues to maintain strong retailer partnerships.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: 2-7 years in national/key account management within the consumer electronics sector, with a proven history of managing accounts like Currys, John Lewis, or Argos.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the UK retail landscape, including retailer strategies, margin structures, and consumer electronics trends.
* Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills with experience managing P&L, forecasting, and promotional budgets.
* Relationship Builder: Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from buyers to senior leadership.
* Results-Driven: Track record of delivering YOY growth and hitting KPIs in competitive markets.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel nationally for key meetings and trade events.
