Electronics Technician – Oxfordshire – Circa £50k
Our client is seeking an Electronics Technician to be part of their Systems Team to maintain and manage a range of survey equipment and systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge geophysical equipment and techniques, enhancing their technical expertise. As an Electronics Technician your prime responsibility will be to ensure optimum performance of all survey equipment, oversight of deployment, and testing of new systems as these are introduced.
As an Electronics Technician, your role will include:
* Ensure that all survey equipment is to the correct specification and optimised to deliver the best survey results.
* Assembling survey systems to the specification defined for each survey
* Assist the survey teams with their mobilisation requirements
* Identify any faults where surveys have been carried out
* Assist the R&D team in developing and improving systems for data collection
* Managing the regular calibration schedule for all equipment
Experience For This Electronics Technician Role:
* Strong understanding of electronic and electrical circuits and systems
* Assembly of prototype and small volume equipment and systems
* Fault finding and repair electronic equipment
* Broad practical workshop skills, including electronic, electrical and mechanical work
* Able to use electronic and/or mechanical CAD software, PCB CAD in particular
