Ryde School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 2-18 years old. We are currently looking to appoint a Health & Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our Pastoral team in the provision of an efficient and compassionate service to all pupils in our care.
Our purpose is to provide an exceptional education on the Isle of Wight, enabling our boarding and day pupils to flourish in mind, body, and soul. We nurture pupils to make a positive difference and embrace the opportunities of the wider world.
In this role, you will work in the School’s Health and Wellbeing Centre to assist the Pastoral team in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to students. You will be a welcoming presence to all the pupils and provide vital support as part of the wider pastoral team dedicated to creating a supportive and caring environment.
In addition to caring for unwell children in our care, routine tasks will include chaperoning children as and when required, administering medication under the guidance of the School Matron, and ensuring that treatment rooms are maintained in a clean and hygienic state. Job Description
The ideal candidate will:
* Have a proven track record in a similar healthcare role.
* Have a valid UK driving licence.
* Be First Aid trained.
* Possess good IT skills to complete the administrative duties associated with the job.
* Be approachable and friendly.
* Always remain calm, even when under pressure.
* Adapt to the needs of the job as and when they arise with a flexible attitude.
This role is offered on a part-time, term-time basis with core hours of work being Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 17:30 pm (17.5 hours per week).
