Shift Engineer (Electrical Biased)
Commutable from – Grays, Romford, Pufleet, Basildon, Southend-On-Sea, Wickford
4on 4off Days & Nights

Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, that is electrically biased, to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carrying out PPM, reactive & predictive maintenance/breakdown analysis
* Dealing with high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery
* Working on such machinery / systems as:- conveyors, silos, blowers, steam & boiler systems, industrial control systems, dryers, robotics, chillers, air systems, automation & control systems
* PLC’s – electrical fault finding
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding, analysis & repair
* Stores and spare parts management, use of Maximo asset care management systems
* Dealing with motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, sensors, drives, inverters, circuits, hydraulics
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be a multi-skilled engineer, with an electrical bias
* Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship – formal qualifications
* Ideally HNC qualified
* Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely and efficiently
* Both electrical & mechanical fault-finding capabilities
* Ideally have worked in FMCG, fast-paced manufacturing
* Dealt with hydraulics & pneumatics
* PLC – electrical fault finding skills
* 17th or 18th Edition beneficial
* Need to be self-motivated, team players, strong communicator, enthusiastic & driven character
* Able to work on own initiative, sometimes unsupervised
