The company are keen to hire a highly motivated and experienced Lead Sonographer to join their team at their new clinic. The ideal candidate must be a self-directed and motivated self-starter with strong leadership qualities and a commitment to customer service. A successful sonographer will be able to solve complex problems, delegate tasks effectively, and ensuring the highest quality of care for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare ultrasound equipment and exam rooms ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
* Perform ultrasound scans on patients in accordance with recognized professional standards
* Use tools and safety equipment properly to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging
* Attend additional educational courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the practice
* Keep competencies documents up to date
* Use ethical judgment and critical thinking skills to perform diagnostic imaging safely
* Answer patient questions and provide them with accurate information
* Assist in the management and maintenance of the ultrasound equipment at the clinic
* Lead and mentor additional sonographers and their teams
Position Requirements:
* Registered Sonographer with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) UK
* Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
* Flexible schedule and the ability to work independently
* Valid driver’s license
The successful candidate must be available to start in July 2024.
