Location: Central London (London Bridge) - Hybrid (3 days in-office per week)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Package Benefits
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Emtech is partnering with a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy to find an Associate Civil Engineer for their London team.
With 80 professionals across Civil & Structural Engineering, Transport, Geotechnical, and Environmental disciplines, this dynamic consultancy delivers high-profile projects across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, and leisure. They also work on large-scale town centre redevelopment projects and international schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to co-lead the Civil Engineering team in London, with a clear path to Director level in the coming years.
Your Role:
🔹 Oversee and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
🔹 Lead the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
🔹 Monitor project finances, invoicing, and payments, reporting to the Project Partner.
🔹 Manage and mentor a team of engineers, driving technical excellence and career development.
🔹 Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and industry best practices.
🔹 Take ownership of projects, providing strategic guidance and mitigating risks.
🔹 Engage with clients and stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and reports.
🔹 Prepare bids, tenders, and fee proposals for a range of projects.
🔹 Innovate and deliver creative civil engineering solutions across highways and drainage.
What You Bring:
✅ Expertise in highways and drainage design, with a strong grasp of industry regulations (e.g., Manual for Streets, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption).
✅ Proficiency in PDS, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD (Civils 3D preferred).
✅ Strong leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
✅ Experience in CDM regulations and risk assessments.
✅ Ability to plan, manage, and inspire teams for maximum effectiveness.
