We are looking for an experienced/newly qualified SCPHN School Nurse/Health Visitor to join our school nursing team, working collaboratively with Locality School Nurse Team leaders/ Clinical service Leads and our Operational Lead in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.

Main duties of the job
The emphasis of the role will be working within a skill mix team and working closely with Locality Team leads/ Clinical Service Leads to deliver measurable outcomes to the school aged population in Croydon.
The successful candidates will be part of a locality school nurse team and will be responsible for a defined caseload, demonstrate excellence and leadership in practice. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and implement public health initiatives to promote the health and well-being of children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential and access all areas of the curriculum.
It is expected that our successful candidates will be committed to delivering evidence based practice, maintain current knowledge of local and national issues that impact on the school-age population. Successful candidates will be required to professionally contribute to the ongoing development of the school nursing service.
