Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our clients team and support operations across their Staffordshire and High Wycombe based sites. This role is instrumental in ensuring that their Health & Safety standards meet and exceed regulatory and internal expectations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, facilitating, and reporting on all Health & Safety activities, working closely with all internal teams and stakeholders. This role is key in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety awareness, and regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote and drive a positive and proactive Health & Safety culture across both company sites.
* Ensure full implementation and adherence to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with the QHSE Manager and senior leadership to embed H&S strategies throughout the organization.
* Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice, including ISO45001.
* Ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place, regularly updated, and reviewed annually.
* Investigate and follow up on non–compliances, accidents, incidents, and near misses using appropriate root cause analysis tools.
* Compile and deliver accurate and timely H&S reports (weekly, monthly, annual) along with awareness bulletins.
* Conduct internal and legal compliance audits to a high standard.
* Engage and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure H&S awareness and alignment.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with external regulators and relevant authorities.
* Support learning and development initiatives across the company, including delivering training sessions and sourcing relevant external training.
Qualifications & Skills
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) – Essential
* Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH) – Desirable
* Demonstrable experience as a Health & Safety Advisor in a large, complex organization, ideally across multi–site, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
* Strong knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and ISO45001 standards.
* Proven ability to navigate fast–paced, heavily regulated environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong auditing skills and attention to detail.
* Collaborative and influential, with a hands–on and solutions–focused approach.
