Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Early Help Hub Advisor, Swindon Borough Council, Childrens Early Help Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. The Early Help Hub provides advice, guidance and support to families, schools and early help professionals in the community, to prevent the escalation of children and young people into Statutory Services and coordinate Early Help.
2. The role of the Early Help Hub Consultation Line Social Worker will be to support the wider Swindon partnership, including schools and lead professionals in the community by way of consultation.
3. Consult on whether threshold has been met, and what targeted Early Help support would be beneficial. They will also provide social work operational guidance and support to the Early Help Hub Workers on the coordination of Early Help.
4. Provide advice and guidance to the Early Help Hub Workers and work in partnership with the newly appointed Early Help Assistant Team Manager in MASH to ensure high quality Early Help is provided to Swindon families.
5. Undertake training around the delivery of Early Help to Swindon and attend Team Around the Family and School meetings where consultation is required.
6. Liaise with other professionals.
7. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
8. 3 month Temporary Contract.
9. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
