We are currently seeking a pro-active, results driven Assistant Manager to join the team in our ARGENTO Newry Store, Unit 7A, Buttercrane Shopping Centre, Buttercrane Quay, Newry BT35 8HJ.
THE ROLE
Contract: Permanent full-time role, 40 hours a week on a varied shift basis, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Job Summary
Reporting to and working with the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and inspiring the team to sell; providing the highest level of service to the customer in a luxurious environment. You will align with the Store Manager to deliver excellence in store performance and operations, and achieve our business goals. You may be required to become a keyholder, with full training provided. Successful candidates will be trained on ear piercing duties, a service which is widely available in most Argento stores and immensely popular with our customers!
Responsibilities include:
* Acting as a role model for the team as an ambassador for the brand at all times
* Coaching and motivating the team to achieve store targets; driving sales and footfall
* Optimising sales through effective customer service and selling techniques
* Providing exceptional customer service at all times
* Keyholder responsibilities, including opening and closing the store, cashing up, and checking floats
* Reviewing staffing rotas to ensure expected service levels
* Dealing with customer concerns professionally and efficiently
* Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
* Ensuring deliveries, stock transfers, and administration are completed
* Planning and implementing shop merchandising and layout to maximise sales
* Banking responsibilities; reconciling daily sales
* Managing and motivating staff, training and developing them according to company policies
* Minimising stock loss by ensuring company security policies are followed
* Creating and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
THE INDIVIDUAL
You will work with the Manager to support, coach, and motivate the team to achieve store targets, while setting an example in exemplary ARGENTO customer service. A strong retail floor presence is essential, and you will be trained to become an ARGENTO product expert. You must be willing to be fully trained in ear piercing.
Prior experience with a leading brand or luxury retailer is preferred. If you are a Supervisor looking for career progression or an Assistant Manager seeking a fresh challenge, this could be the opportunity for you.

* A minimum of 1+ years experience in supervisory/management in a high volume store
* Experience of serving customers in a high footfall environment
* Experience in coaching and developing a large team

* Ability to work with POS systems and Microsoft applications
* Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and training
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to provide constructive feedback to management
* Experience in executing company visual merchandising standards
* Passionate about jewellery and customer service
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
* Effective communication skills
* Well presented with a positive, proactive approach
* A can-do attitude with enthusiasm for ARGENTO products
