ROLE: Humanities Teacher (History or Geography) LOCATION: Addlestone Job Overview A fantastic secondary school in a Addlestone are looking for a teacher of humanities to take on some full time work starting in the New Year. This is a long term commitment with the potential to go permanent for the right teacher. The school are looking for a teacher that is a specialist in the humanities and can either be a ECT or a teacher with many years of teaching behind them. Marking and planning would be required. This post is currently term time only. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning journey. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behaviour. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Requirements A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is essential. Strong understanding of the curriculum relevant to the age group being taught. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
