Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant – Outstanding Primary School in Ealing We are looking for a caring and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding primary school in Ealing. This full-time, fixed-term position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a student on a one-to-one basis and assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for a student with additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, or other developmental challenges. Collaborate with the class teacher to tailor lessons, activities, and learning resources to meet the individual needs of the student. Support the student’s social development and help them engage with peers during group activities and classroom discussions. Monitor and track the student's progress, offering feedback to the class teacher, SENCO, and parents. Help maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages all students to succeed. Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Experience working with children with SEN in a school or childcare setting. A strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other learning difficulties. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents. Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children. Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators and support staff. Desirable Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications in education or child development (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma). Familiarity with behaviour management strategies. Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Primary School curriculum.
