How you'll help us live our purpose
We've been helping our members save for their future and buy a home of their own since 1845. By joining us, you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
It's a purpose that drives everything we do and one we're proud of. And you can play your part too – join our Finance Division as our Finance Systems Transformation Lead, on a minimum 18 month contract, and help us deliver our significant transformation strategy.
How you'll make a difference
We are in the process of delivering significant change, which is the single biggest investment our Society has ever made. This role will be instrumental in leading the delivery of the finance systems change workstream which links to this.
You will be an inspirational leader with the ability to bring a team together, empower them, upskill, drive high performance and demonstrate what best in class change looks like. Your team will be responsible for the implementation of all Finance change projects, but also have day to day operation systems management to balance, so you will need to have a strong Accountancy background as well as significant process and systems change experience in order to guide and support them.
You'll be the key stakeholder and collaborator between the Finance Division and our IT Project Leads, with responsibility for planning and leading all the Finance Business Readiness activity. This means you'll need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
With a strategic outlook, you'll drive the thinking and planning for the future systems landscape for Finance post the current phase of change, including understanding impacts on the Finance Operating Model.

* Proven experience in leading the delivery of both finance system implementations and ongoing system improvements and enhancements.
* Experience of leading the ongoing management of cloud-based finance technologies including release management.
* Self-starter with enthusiasm for continuous improvement and proven ability to critically review processes, and implement efficiencies.
* Evidence of thought leadership and creativity, confident in working through periods of uncertainty and working constructively with others to reach solutions on complex issues and expertly resolving blockers to keep delivery on track.
* Ability to build effective relationships with internal, external stakeholders and third parties through strong engagement, collaboration and influencing.
* Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations based on understanding of Financial concepts, methods, standards, principles and technology.
* Knowledge of Finance Packages e.g. Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP HANA, Access Expenses and Broadridge PROactive Reconciliation.

And in return, you'll get the best from us:
* An annual colleague bonus of up to 15%

* Matched pension contributions of up to 10%
* 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme of up to 5 days each year
