Job Title: LEV Engineer
Location: Commutable distance from Dartford or Sheffield (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Work Model: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Security Clearance: BPSS & SC
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled LEV Engineer to join our Operations team. This exciting role will involve carrying out technical engineering installations across the UK, focusing on various systems, including temporary heating, environmental monitoring, LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) systems, and Envirohub water treatment. You will also play a key role in responding to equipment breakdowns and assisting with "callouts" as required.
This role offers the opportunity to work independently, liaise with customers, and ensure the successful installation and maintenance of key systems in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* On-Site Installations: Carry out technical engineering installations for various RVT equipment types across the UK.
* Customer Liaison: Instruct site agents on the use of equipment, ensuring all systems are correctly installed and operational.
* Equipment Breakdown Assistance: Respond to equipment breakdowns, providing quick and efficient solutions.
* Health & Safety: Maintain a high level of site health and safety awareness, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Commissioning and Testing: Commission and test LEV systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of construction site experience (desirable).
* Qualifications:
o Electrical/Mechanical related NVQ Level 3 (desirable)
o CSCS/ECS Card (essential)
o BOHS P600/P601 (desirable)
o IPAF/PASMA (desirable)
o Health & Safety Certification (e.g., ISOH/SSSTS) (desirable)
o Maths & English Level 2 (essential)
* Skills:
o Strong IT literacy
o Full UK driving license
o Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
o Good physical and mental fitness
o Self-directed, with a strong ability to work independently
o Problem-solving and attention to detail
* Knowledge:
o Understanding of LEV systems (desirable)
o Familiarity with reviewing risk assessments and understanding occupational health hazards.
Additional Information:
* Travel: Regular UK-wide travel is required, including overnight stays and occasional weekend work.
* Overtime: Overtime may be required based on project schedules.
* Company Vehicle: A company van will be provided for business use, along with fuel cards.
Success Measures:
* Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
* High customer satisfaction levels based on service delivery.
