To provide support to an adult male with severe learning disabilities (non-verbal Autism) within his own home and within the local community. To work alongside an existing member of staff.
As a Personal Assistant, your duties will include:
1. Personal care
2. Meal preparation
3. Supervision when accessing the community
Previous experience, a positive attitude, and a good work ethic are essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be physically fit and strong, and be a driver with a full clean license.
This is a flexible position with a choice of working one to five days, ideally from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, but other hours may be available. The hourly rate is £11.50, plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
There is also the opportunity to work some overnight shifts to provide respite, which will be discussed at the interview stage. Full training will be provided.
