The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to provide maternity cover for the Director of FP&A.
This role is pivotal within the FP&A team, with a specific focus on supporting key business areas such as Technology and Brand Protection, as well as overseeing the planning, reporting, and analysis of Corsearch’s cost base.
The ideal candidate will act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders, offering financial insights that drive informed decision-making.
You will be responsible for managing and mentoring one direct report and ensuring the seamless execution of FP&A activities throughout the contract period. This position requires a blend of analytical expertise, leadership, and strong business partnering skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Analyze business performance, providing actionable insights into cost trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Partner closely with the Technology and Brand Protection functions to drive financial planning and analysis.
* Lead the preparation, consolidation, and presentation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, with an emphasis on expense management and cost efficiency.
* Develop and monitor key financial metrics to support business decisions and improve operational performance.
* Champion continuous improvement of FP&A processes and tools, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of reporting and analysis.
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across the organization, ensuring finance is seen as a value-added partner.
* Manage, coach, and develop one FP&A team member, providing guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables and fostering professional growth.
* Support the VP of FP&A with special projects as required, ensuring timely delivery of critical initiatives.
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (essential).
* Professional finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Proven experience in FP&A, with a strong track record in a leadership or senior advisory role.
* Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools (Excel, ERP systems, BI tools).
* Strong business partnering capabilities, with experience working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities with ease.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
