Job Description This role plays a critical role in developing and delivering internal communications on behalf of Technology Directorate, working with a wide range of collaborators at all levels. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the Bank's technology transformation agenda and to shape communications to support new ways of working through system changes and the delivery of new technology. Key responsibilities include: Provide internal communications advice, guidance and challenge, and act as an advisor to Technology colleagues on communications strategy and delivery; Develop and implement communications plans and strategy; Adopt a proactive approach to managing and delivering communications by developing an awareness of Technology activities, identifying key projects that require support, and seeking out opportunities to plan and deliver communications; Evaluate the impact of Technology activities on Bank colleagues and, where necessary, challenge the approach and propose alternative ways forward, ensuring all relevant partners are informed; Commission, draft, and edit high quality engaging content which informs and engages our internal audiences, working closely with key Technology partners whose work impacts our Bank colleagues; Develop and implement creative communications tools, channels and mechanisms to deliver high quality communications, seeking to innovate where appropriate; Tactically support leadership visibility, including event management, providing strategic oversight and encouraging action. Support tactical colleague involvement, feedback and insight opportunities, to develop communications activity and colleague engagement levels. Support audience identification, mapping and segmentation to drive your communication approach. Ensure alignment with Bank-wide brand and tone of voice across all communications activity, liaising closely with communications colleagues across both Central Services and the broader Bank. Role Requirements Minimum Criteria Previous demonstrable experience in creating and delivering internal communications and engagement plans and campaigns. Significant experience of creating engaging content across multiple digital and face-to-face channels, including internal news announcements, newsletters, blogs, surveys and online / face-to-face forums. Understanding of the enablers of engagement and how they should be used in communications Excellent written and verbal communication skills - a natural storyteller Passionate about diversity and inclusion. Creative thinker and a problem solver - the ability to devise new and exciting ways to engage our colleagues through communications activities. Excellent stakeholder management skills - ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation and comfortable working with senior collaborators. Ability to work collaboratively, autonomously and at pace, and in a highly organised and efficient manner, co-ordinating multiple responsibilities at the same time. Salary and Benefits Information We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate. We offer a salary as follows: Leeds circa £44,080 - £49,590 London circa £48,960 - £55,080 In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below: A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
