Your role in the team
The Financial Analyst will be joining the Law & Regulation Finance team and play a key role in providing financial support for Allstate's Law & Regulation department through comprehensive financial reporting, analysis, planning & budgeting. The analyst will collaborate closely with the team to ensure accurate and timely financial insights that drive decision-making and operational efficiency for a critical function within Allstate.
Key Responsibilities
* Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast implications to the business.
* Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight to allow business partners to improve performance.
* Use analysis to influence and drive action within finance and our business partners by using fact-based, holistic and forward-looking perspectives to identify emerging issues and assist in the implementation of strategies.
* Prepare and help build storyline for financial updates.
* Develop effective presentations for small groups.
Essential Skills
* Finance related degree and 1 year experience in a finance/accountancy role, OR
* Minimum 3 years experience in a Finance/Accountancy role.
AND
* A minimum of 1 year experience with financial modeling and analytics skills, with proven experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
* Experience with MS Office Suite with strong Excel formula experience.
* A minimum of 1 year experience with financial reporting systems (SAP, Workday, Hyperion, or similar ERP tools).
* A minimum of 1 year experience with financial statements, key performance indicators, and cost analysis.
* Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA.
Desirable Skills:
* Good knowledge of control environments and SOX.
* Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
* Prior experience supporting operational or legal functions.
* Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
