About the Employer
I’m a female in my sixties with a degenerative muscle wasting condition, and a full time electric wheelchair user. I'm looking for a personal assistant to help me with my personal care. Which will include getting me up out of bed, occasionally helping me into bed, showering, dressing and other help as required. Experience of using a hoist would be useful but full training will be given along with manual handling. Also light housework duties to include changing my bed covers and keeping my surroundings clean and tidy. Occasional food preparation. Experience of driving an automatic car would be advantageous as I have an adapted wheelchair accessible car. Must like dogs as I have a totally lovable nutcase. I’m looking for someone who is trustworthy, flexible with a sense of humour who would enjoy outings, shopping and generally hanging out with me. Full training given to the right applicant who will be required to be DBS checked. 15 hours per week, flexible extra hours may be available depending on need.
