The Opportunity
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join the Purchasing Department of a Global Group to support the Team following the introduction of a new SAP system. Using the latest purchasing software.
This role has been deemed inside IR35
Duration: 12 months
Ellesmere Port Option of hybrid after training 2 days per week
Your duties and responsibilities will be
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will Input charities and new vendors to S4 after the buyers have completed necessary checks.
Converting lower value requisitions into purchase orders.
Maintenance of vendor list, new vendor report.
Expediting orders, updating delivery dates within the system and booking in deliveries on app.
VIM assistance, chasing receipts with requisitioners, triaging queries and working with accounts to resolve invoicing issues.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Proven administration skills with good IT ability.
Problem solving skills & maintain accurate records
Driven and take initiative
Confident
Time management & Organisational skills (comfortable with a fast-paced environment)
Customer Services skills both internal and external
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamIt’s great if you also have the following
The ideal candidate would have some previous experience working in purchasing.
Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
Proficiency in Purchasing Software (SAP 4) and Microsoft MS Excel, Outlook
Previous experience of using S4 Hana although training can be given.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a chemical site. These can include, chemical burns, trips and falls, overexertion, cuts and scrapes, chemical exposure, inhalation of chemicals and confined spaces. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
