Ford & Stanley Talentwise are looking for skilled mechanical technicians to join the team working on tram overhauls. Specialising in heavy engineering tasks such as assembly and disassembly, waistline repairs, cutting, grinding and painting on various interior and exterior components. You’ll work on essential structural components, ensuring the trams are fully restored to meet safety and performance standards. If you have experience with heavy mechanical systems and are detail-oriented, this is a great opportunity to contribute to the reliability and durability of our tram fleet Location (s): Dudley Hours: 40 hours per week (days) Monday to Friday (occasional OT may be available on Saturdays) Role and Responsibilities: Carrying out interior modifications Carrying out exterior modifications Previous experience of completing underframe strip downs and rebuilds Complete heavy underframe strip downs, re-builds Experience of grinding rail components Be willing to help on other duties such as painting and general maintenance The Candidate Will have heavy maintenance experience Be confident when completing strip downs and re-fitting to heavy mechanical components Be comfortable working in cramped dirty spaces.
