We’re on the hunt for a meticulous and detail-driven Assistant Planner to join our growing pre-construction team at GMI As we continue to grow, we require a thorough and diligent Assistant Planner to support on Tenders be it planning, site visits and understanding sub-contractor programme requirements. What you will be doing as our Assistant Planner: Project Scheduling: Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Asta Powerproject. Data Analysis: Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and support the preparation of reports for senior planners and project managers. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to collect data and provide updates on project timelines. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively. Risk Identification: Support the identification of project risks and propose solutions to mitigate potential schedule impacts. Resource Management: Assist in the coordination of resources to align with project requirements and timelines. Compliance: Ensure all planning activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. What we are looking for: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered. Experience: Previous experience in construction planning, project coordination, or a similar role is advantageous. Technical Proficiency: Proficient with planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject) and a solid understanding of construction methodologies and processes. Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve scheduling challenges proactively.
