As Maintenance Assistant and Driver at Another Place, The Machrie you will have a blend of responsibilities related to both vehicle operations and maintaining equipment, facilities and machinery.

What your days could look like:
Maintenance Assistant:
* Routine Inspections: Conduct
regular checks and maintenance on equipment, machinery and systems to
ensure they are in good working order.
* Repairs and Troubleshooting: Perform minor
repairs, adjustments and troubleshooting of faulty equipment or machinery.
* Cleaning and Upkeep: Maintain
cleanliness and order in work areas, ensuring proper storage of tools and
equipment.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and
report on the condition of maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering
new items as needed.
* General Facility Maintenance: Assist in the
upkeep of buildings and surrounding areas (e.g., painting, basic plumbing
or carpentry tasks).
* Safety Compliance: Ensure that
safety standards are followed, reporting any hazards or safety concerns.
Driver:
* Transporting Goods or Personnel: Safely
operate company vehicles to transport goods, materials, or staff as
needed.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic
checks and maintenance on the vehicles e.g., oil changes, tyre pressure,
fluid levels and report any significant issues.
* Keep all vehicles clean, always hoovered and fuelled-up.
* Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient
routes to ensure timely deliveries or arrivals.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records
for vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle-related expenses.
* Adherence to Regulations: Comply with
traffic laws, road safety, and company vehicle policies.
* Loading and Unloading: Assist in
loading and unloading goods or equipment when required.
What you offer
* A full, clean driving licence
* Experience in a similar industry, preferably hospitality
* Knowledge of the current health and safety legislation for both driving and maintenance tasks.
* The ability to diagnose and repair day-to-day mechanical/practical problems and make necessary repairs correctly and safely.
* Willingness to follow instructions
* Excellent skills in maintenance issues such as re-decoration, electrics, basic plumbing and tiling
* Computer literacy
* Good verbal and written communication skills
