Responsibilities
* Assist on the delivery of coaching sessions for the Women’s First Team
* Plan, prepare and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the Coaching Programme and Syllabus, as directed by Head of Methodology or Methodology Manager.
* Keep accurate records of coaching sessions, fixtures, learning objectives, and other necessary work as required within an appropriate time frame.
* Work collaboratively with the Head Coach to devise individual learning plans for players and share updates regarding progress.
* Assist on individual reviews and parents’ meeting for U18 players in line with their individual learning plans.
* Liaise closely with other age group coaches to support the transition of potential players across groups.
* Assist with the management of match-days as necessary, this includes liaising with opposition, match officials and other key stakeholders.
* Provide a point of liaison for the relevant parents/guardians or player, leading on communication.
* Report any serious injury concerns on players to Head of Women’s Medical and Head of Operations, for clinical advice.
* Report any welfare concerns on players to the Club Safeguarding Manager and Head of Operations, via the appropriate reporting mechanisms.
* Develop a sound working knowledge of safeguarding children’s regulations, including legislation & governing body rules.
* Report any behavioural concerns on players to the Head Coach and Head of Women’s Operations, for further investigation.
* Be available for all internal in-service & CPD events.
* Undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role.
* Be responsible for the kit & equipment of the team
* Attend all coaching, governing league and programme meetings as necessary
* Report to Head Coach and Head of Operations on a regular basis.
* Participate in the appraisal process with Head Coach and Head of Women’s Operations.
* Adhere to all programme policies/procedures, as issued by Head of Women’s Operations.
* Adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety and security.
* All other duties that may arise from time to time and fall within the scope of this position.
About The Candidate
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Experience of coaching competitive female players, preferably within the allocated age group
* Valid full UK driver’s licence (desirable)
* IT skills to include a high level of competence using Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint skills
* Good overall level of numeracy and literacy
* Ability to liaise empathetically and effectively with young players, parents, scouts, coaches and Club senior managers
* A professional “can do” attitude with strong organisational and administrative skills
* A genuine team player
* Empathy with young people and their challenges
