Hey! We’re SEESAW, a creative co-working, events space and café - and we’re on the lookout for an experienced Café Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations in the café.
We’re looking for someone with a strong hospitality background and a passion for speciality coffee to drive the café forward, and ensure a great customer experience.
You should:
1. Be super competent in all things coffee, and confident taking the lead in store
2. Have your finger on the pulse, and be in the know about what’s happening in the industry
3. Strive for high coffee standards, and know how to achieve them by cupping, dialling in and brewing correctly
4. Have strong team leadership skills and lead by example
5. Be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment
You should have proven management experience, strong computer skills (ideally with good knowledge of Google Workspace), and a solid understanding of costing and monitoring financials.
You’ll be taking the lead on all daily tasks, such as:
1. Liaising with suppliers and maintaining great relationships
2. Stock ordering, stock management and controlling costs
3. Admin, including emailing
4. EHO and Food Safety Compliance
5. Developing and implementing strategies to drive engagement and boost sales
6. Managing bookings and events in the cafe
7. Basic rota management
8. POS maintenance and costing
9. Social media management
You’ll be working 40 hours each week, and we’re open Monday - Friday / 8.30am - 4pm, so you’ll have a great work/life balance (no weekends!!)
