Salary: £32,850 + van depending on experience
Role:
We have an opportunity for an experienced traffic management professional to join our team as a Compliance Officer. The role has a dual purpose, firstly in helping our clients to identify their exact requirements and secondly auditing the work of our teams to ensure safe and compliant practices are continually upheld. Great organisational skills to manage your own diary effectively are essential, as this is a regional role based out of our Rochester Depot and covers the whole of the South East.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan and undertake internal audits/inspections on Traffic Management sites, ensuring compliance to ISO9001, ISO14001 and the National Highway Sector Scheme (NHSS).
2. Provide guidance and support if you identify training requirements.
3. Investigate reasons for non-conformances.
4. Prepare reports for senior management on the findings of any audits undertaken.
5. Management of non-conformances to ensure a timely and appropriate close out.
6. Maintain the Audit Database and track Remedial/Corrective/Preventative actions.
7. Coordinate and manage continual improvement projects.
8. Site visits with clients to undertake enabling for upcoming projects/schemes.
9. Compliance checks for streetworks, vehicle, yard, and paperwork.

An operational background in traffic management, who is ready for a change or has already been working in the compliance space and enjoys sharing their expertise and knowledge. If you have a full understanding of NRSWA, ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015 transition requirements along with an awareness of ISO45001, National Highway Sector Scheme transition requirements & timescales. A full driving license is essential.
