Role: HIU Service & Repair Engineer\n\nLocation: London / Southeast - Field Based\n\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Van, Tools & Benefits\n\nMy renewable energy client is seeking an experienced HIU Service & Repair Engineer reporting to my clients Lead HIU engineer.\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering operation and maintenance services across our fleet of heat networks. We are looking for someone who has experience with servicing and repairing HIUs. We are looking for an experienced engineer with at 1+ years relevant experience of working HIU of various brands and who is knowledgeable and reliable.
You will need to have experience servicing HIU's of various manufacturers and be able to fault find and replace parts comfortably. Experience in district heating networks is preferred but not essential.\n\nYour role will also involve, but not be limited to:\n\nWorking under the direct supervision of my client's Lead HIU engineer\nCompletion of planned preventative maintenance activities in line with company maintenance schedules\nServicing HIUs and repair works\nCompletion of fault finding and repairs to HIU's whilst working on the on-call rota\nAttend reactive callouts to sites to reinstate heat and resolve HIU failures\nTake part in an on-call rota and attend callouts (typically 1 week in 4)\nReview root causes for plant failure (resolve operational issues which arise)\nManagement of site-based project work and development of the scope of works for plant remediation.\nSafe isolation of equipment before commencing works\nGood communication with the team always\nEnsure your own system records are kept up to date to ensure accurate and secure records. This will involve the completion of clear and concise online work orders.\nCan assist with 1 and 12 monthly mechanical PPM checks within plant rooms\nCarry out in house training to develop engineers\nAssist in preparing commissioning procedures\nYou should demonstrate the following:\n\n1+ years of experience working as a HIU service engineer\nPart P\nPart G\nKnowledge of heat network energy centres and plantrooms.\nAble to read technical drawings e.g., P&IDs & mechanical schematics.\nElectrical competency (basic).\nCompetent with safe isolation (mechanical and electrical).\nFull UK driving license (valid for at least 12 months)\nFull UK working rights\nBenefits\n\nRemuneration: Base £40,000 - £45,000\nDiscretionary bonus based on individual and business performance.
