Applications are welcome from experienced Software Asset Managers with a working knowledge of Microsoft products and software licensing to work within Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Luton ICT Shared Services. HBLICT provides IT support to the NHS organisations which make up Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes ICB.
The post of SAM Compliance Lead sits in the Digital End User Computing Development & Automation team who are responsible for end-user device configuration, testing and management across all of our customers.
The post holder will need to be able to travel between sites.
Main duties of the job
1. The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money through effective SAM. The post holder is responsible for ensuring effective and cost-efficient software license agreements are in place; and drives activities across the estate to re-harvest licenses wherever possible to achieve best value.
2. The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery of software licensing for end users and core infrastructure. Working closely with the head of the department and subject matter experts to ensure that end user and infrastructure licensing is maintained.
3. The job description and person specification are an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role.
4. The post holder owns and manages software inventories across end user estates, ensuring that compliance is maintained.
5. The post holder supports subject matter experts in ensuring that infrastructure licensing and contracts are maintained, working closely with financial services teams.
