Are you a strong controller, with experience working within manufacturing?
We’re partnering with a successful international manufacturing business in their search for a Financial Controller.
You will be responsible for the running of the UK business and team of qualified accountants.
Financial Controller – The Role
* Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports to the parent company, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages. Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
* Statutory Accounts: Manage the preparation and filing of statutory accounts for the UK entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP.
* Audit Management: Lead the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit. Manage internal controls and compliance procedures.
* Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting, working closely with the UK leadership team to develop realistic and achievable financial plans.
* Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
* Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve finance processes and enhance efficiency.
Financial Controller – Required Experience
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
* Experience working for a manufacturing business.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge.
* Experience managing external audits and internal controls.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
The Package
* Salary £70,000 - £80,000.
* Bonus, pension and healthcare.
* Hybrid working – 3 office days.
