Job Role:
Taylor Woodrow is recruitingfor a Section Engineer to work on our framework with Network Rail. Reporting to the Senior ProjectManager, the Section Engineer will work as part of the team delivering the Westerngeotechnical and off-track drainage work aspart of the Wales and Western region’s £2bn programme of worksover the next eight years.
Duties:
·Allocate tasks to SiteEngineers and supervise the task completion.
·Ensure the Inspectionand Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checkscan be completed.
·Oversee engineeringrequirements demanded in the delivery of a section of work or on largerprojects, of a subcontractor, to meet the construction programme.
·Make effective use ofdocument control to manage distribution of information.
Develop and Approve relevant procedures specific to their area of works.
·In association withthe Section Foreman, assess the plant and resource requirements to meet thedemands of site and office based works.
·Approve methodstatements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughoutthe works.
·Ensure Site Engineerscomplete setting out in accordance with design.
·Ensure Design Drawingsare marked up to reflect works completed as the works are finished.
·Liaise with otherSection Engineers/Foremen to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure asmooth flow of work.
·Regularly reviewprocedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.
Person Specification
·Previous experience as a Site/Section Engineer is essential
·Degree qualified and working towards institute membership (ICE)
·Experience in drainage and/or rail is advantageous
