About Us/The Role
We are parents to 3 wonderful children, aged 21, 16 and 15. Our two eldest children are very independent and have embarked on their journeys in further education. Our youngest child is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a severe learning disability, which impacts her understanding, communication, and includes complex needs and a physical disability. As dedicated parents, we have devoted our lives to raising our children. Now, we are seeking some time for ourselves as a couple, as well as some much needed time with our older children.
Our daughter requires 1-1 support when out in the community. She requires a wheelchair due to her physical disability, she is able to walk very short distances, for e.g. within the home. Our daughter is a very happy young person who has a good sense of humour, and enjoys being outside as well as in our home. She enjoys art whether this be in galleries or colouring in a book, painting pottery or an actual picture. Her favourite thing is anything to do with rabbits (Bunnies).
Responsibilities include:
• Spending 1-1 quality time with our daughter
• Driving to the activities she wishes to attend
• Attending activities such as swimming, art galleries/museums, and the cinema, even just purely getting some fresh air.
• Personal care
