Your New Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join their dynamic team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling major construction and engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and effectively. You will play a key role in coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Developing, managing, and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
2. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure project plans align with overall business objectives.
3. Identifying potential risks, critical path activities, and mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines.
4. Producing detailed reports and progress updates for senior management and clients.
5. Ensuring compliance with company and industry standards for project planning and scheduling.
6. Coordinating with procurement and supply chain teams to align schedules with material and resource availability.
7. Monitoring project progress and making adjustments to schedules as necessary.
8. Supporting the development of tender and bid proposals by providing planning input.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
1. Proven experience as a Project Planner in the construction or engineering sector.
2. Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical (M&E) project delivery.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. A degree or relevant qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
8. Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts (desirable).
