Qualifications
* Ability to work in a busy environment
* First level NMC Registration with evidence of post registration qualification to a minimum of degree level or equivalent experience.
* Possession of relevant mentorship/education/teaching certificate.
* Ability to work under pressure and to time critical deadlines
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, health or related management studies.
* Intermediate Life Support
Experience
* A good level of experience as a Sister/Charge Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist (or equivalent).
* Demonstrable post registration experience at a senior level.
* Evidence of experience within an operational management role in an acute hospital setting.
* Experience of dealing with financial systems i.e. budgetary control, Clinical Governance, Health and Safety and Human Resources.
* Ability to meet targets
* Ability to support junior staff
* Understanding of NHS targets and performance requirements
* Mentoring or clinical support experience
