Due to our continued growth in both existing and new markets, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Estimator or Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team.

Job Purpose
The key responsibilities of the role are to produce project estimates from enquiries received, leading the procurement of materials and trades for secured projects and seeing the project through to financial completion. The role will involve working in a fast paced environment to deliver projects ranging from £20,000 up to £5m. You will work closely with our entire team and our supply chain, to produce detailed quotations, raise purchase orders, manage project budgets, and approve supplier invoices, whilst ensuring that company margins are maintained, and project timescales met.
Experience
* 5 years experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the UK Construction Industry
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs
* Proficient in using industry-standard estimating software and tools
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with various stakeholders
* Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations
* Experience of developing relationships with new clients
Primary Responsibilities
* Receiving and reviewing initial tender enquiries from new and existing clients
* Generating a scope of works based on tender documentation, client’s schedules or through site visits
* Providing expert guidance on project budget feasibility at early stages
* Produce quotations based on anticipated labour and material costs
* Obtaining quotes from supply chain for sub-contractors and suppliers, and confidently addressing tender queries
* Compile final tenders and submit to client deadlines
Skills & Abilities
* Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel
* Strong IT knowledge (project file management, email management etc.)
* Highly Experienced in problem solving
* Exceptional communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced environment working to tight deadlines
* Knowledge of SAGE accounts and AutoCAD software is preferable, but not essential
Personal Attributes & Requirements
* Full UK Driving License
* Willingness to occasionally travel to project locations for site surveys or general meetings
* Personable, approachable, and confident team member demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the business
