Primary Teaching Assistant - Supply
Stafflex is seeking enthusiastic and versatile Educational Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Huddersfield. As a General ETA, you will work collaboratively with teachers to assist in classroom activities, help manage student behaviour, and provide support to ensure a productive learning environment. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to student's education across a range of subjects and year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher with managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Provide general support to children, helping them with classwork and developing their skills
You may be required to carry out work in the classroom and outside the main teaching area to meet the needs of the pupils in your care
Work with small groups and 1:1 to support children in reading and writing
Prepare and organise teaching materials and resourcesRequirements:
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school setting
Strong organisational and communication skills
A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Maths and English qualification of Level 2 or above
