Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Children’s Registered Service Manager to join an exceptional provider of residential homes for young people aged 12-17 years old with backgrounds of CSE, CCE and EBD within the Cumbria area.
Location: Penrith, Cumbria
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum + bonus
Contract: Full time, permanent
About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Service Manager to lead in a pioneering role under the new Multi-Building Registration Ofsted Policy Guidance. Hold overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the Children’s Home and accountable for the delivery of a high quality of service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base. Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children with their physical, psychological, emotional & social development.
Your key responsibilities as the Registered Service Manager:
* Reporting to the Operations Manager and with the support of an Assistant Manager, you will effectively and efficiently manage a Multi-Building Registration.
* Responsible for the leadership, management, and operation of your service, supporting children and young people.
* Through your positive outlook and ability to see beyond behaviours work towards the progression and development of the children we look after.
* Set the operational direction and organise the effective running of the service to meet its statement of purpose.
* Mentor and support residential support workers to be the best they can be.
* Work in partnership with external agencies.
What you need:
* A Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People).
* Good knowledge around Children’s Homes regulations (2015), Children’s Homes Regulations including the quality standards.
* At least 3 years’ experience within children’s residential homes and 1 year’s experience at a Senior level.
* A Full UK driving licence.
